OST Countdown Day 3: Fanworks

Today has been wildly busy, so I'll keep this short and sweet.
I've written a lot of potc fic, (boy, do I wish I had a handy link right about now... but my tags list and my memories are both really unorganized) but I think that one of my favorites would have to be Five Things that Never Happened to James Norrington. I wrote it as I was still feeling my way around in terms of the different ways that James could be characterized, and the "Five Things" format (which I love now) let me play with a lot of different options while still weaving them around the common "what might have been" theme.
As for something I'm glad I found... there were a lot of "almost Sparrington" fics that I read just as I was beginning to be convinced that Sparrington was a viable ship. And Flights of Angels by
oneiriad was one of them. It's incredibly heartbreaking, but it has that hint of what might have been between Jack and James, and reading it again just now put a lump in my throat. That is how character death should be handled. Respectfully and keenly.
