corrielle: (Young James Honor)

One of the challenges for [profile] potc_land was to create a picspam for a favorite character, group of characters, scene, or object.  Of course, I chose Norrington, Gillette, and Groves.  This is a little heavy on the James, since screencaps of him are much more abundant, but I hope I gave the other two their due as well, because I do love them. This may not look too pretty.  I know next to nothing about image manipulation, and this was mostly an exercise in me learning how to use this program that my lovely mod [personal profile] moonys_autumn directed me to when I told her I don't have photoshop. Hopefully, wit and cleverness will make up for any lack of visual/artistic/computer skill on my part.

Resources: The vast majority of these came from the Screenmusings collection, with a couple from Home of the Nutty PotC galleryThe Cursed Gallery, and the dark recesses of my hard drive (meaning I saved them so long ago I have no idea where I got them).

This is James Norrington.

As you can see by the size of the flag, James Norrington loves the Navy.

He also loves Miss Elizabeth Swann.

It's a good thing James has friends like Andrew Gillette to keep him from jumping to his death trying to rescue her.

Andrew is generally quite level headed. He faces down regular pirates, cursed undead pirates, and angry governor's daughters with cool aplomb.

Andrew does not believe in mermaids.

James Norrington has the sinking feeling that Theodore Groves does. (Believe in mermaids, that is.)

While James sees it as his duty to arrest Jack Sparrow, Theodore opines that Jack is the best thing since the invention of the astrolabe. (Sliced bread has not yet been invented.)

Other superiors of his will later worry over Theodore's fascination with pirates, but that's a story for another day.

Much to his chagrin, James keeps crossing paths with Sparrow as he attempts to rescue Miss Swann.

Sparrow even takes liberties with his clean uniform.

James also has to put up with Sparrow's constant invasion of his personal space.

In the end, James decides to let Jack go with one day's head start, which Andrew thinks is a silly idea.

There's certainly no way that could go wrong.
